Temperament & Personality
Hudson loves to be with you. He is happy on long car adventures or cozying up for a movie day on the couch. Since he is crate-, potty-, and leash-trained, all you need to do is bond and love him, and he will follow you everywhere. He will even be your golf buddy, but one warning: he doesn’t like to caddy. He perks his ears and his eyes warm when he “gets” your mood. You can talk to him all day, and he will be a good listener, answering only with a quiet nudge of affection. He has a natural intuition for human emotions and will adjust as any best friend would.
Size/Color/Coat
Hudson is a caramel-and-white parti and brings class to any party. He’s on the smaller size and will finish out around 23 lbs. He is the perfect dog to sit nicely next to you on the sofa, head on your lap. His wavy fleece coat, which is the easiest of the ALD to maintain. His looks are captivating, with a cream coat mixed with a delicious caramel and hazel eyes full of natural understanding.
Ideal Lifestyle
Hudson is versatile. He would do well in a busy family with children or in a household with older people who lead an active lifestyle. He was easy to train and liked to learn through gameplay, where he problem-solves rather than in long, repetitive sessions. He would do fine with other dogs, but would also be okay home alone while you do errands. If you kids, or kids that visit, he will love to be pet by them too. He’s not a barker and would make the perfect dog to take along traveling; you’ll never have to worry that he’ll bother the neighbors at the RV park. And while he may bark an alert when Amazon delivers a package, he would also quickly make friends if you open the door.
